Wall Cuttings

throbbing of windblown walls

the roof urging to jump to the beach

a kerosene lamp

flickering through a bottle

walls covered in newspaper

cuttings of a tragedy

grinning faces, a sporting hero

a record fish upside down

spotted and stained like my shirt

another day of "birding"

mutton bird stench, maggoty flesh

spitting windblown feathers from my lips
